Derived cross board
Some catalog pairs have no pool of their own: the two assets never exchange directly on-chain. Their rate is arithmetic between two measured USD markets. This board shows that arithmetic with both legs printed beside the result.

A cross without a pool still has a price
Every rate on the other boards is a measurement: a pool exists where the two assets exchange, so the rate can be read from it. The crosses on this board have no such pool. What exists instead is two measured markets, one for each leg in USD. Divide one by the other to get the cross. The result moves whenever either leg moves, which is exactly how such a rate behaves in practice.
The board prints the working, not just the answer. Both legs sit beside every computed rate, each one traceable to its own feed page with its own pool book. A number you can decompose is a number you can audit. That is the same principle the measured feeds are built on, applied to the one class of pair where measurement has nothing to read.
Legs still accumulating
These catalog crosses are waiting on measured history for at least one of their USD legs. No number is shown until the legs exist to compute it from.
Derived cross FAQ
What is a derived cross?
A pair in the catalog whose two assets never trade against each other directly: no pool anywhere holds both. The rate still exists as arithmetic. Each asset has its own measured USD market, so dividing one by the other gives the cross. This board shows that division with both inputs visible.
Why is there no measured rate for these pairs?
Measurement needs a market. The pairs on the other boards price from pools where the two assets actually exchange. A derived cross has no such pool, so there is nothing to observe directly. What can be observed is each leg in its own USD market. The board keeps that distinction explicit instead of blending the two kinds of number.
How is this different from the parity and ratio boards?
The parity and ratio boards read rates straight from pools. Every number there is a measurement. Every number here is a computation from two measurements, printed next to the legs it came from. Same underlying data, one extra arithmetic step, stated openly.
