Price API

A crypto price API built from on-chain markets.

Most price APIs aggregate centralized exchange tickers. ML Data computes 553 pairs from on-chain liquidity: stablecoins, liquid staking tokens, yield-bearing assets, tokenized treasuries plus an on-chain EUR/USD rate.

One integration for the whole catalog

Covering a modern collateral list usually means stitching sources: one vendor for majors, an aggregator for token prices, a custom indexer for the assets nobody covers. Every source has its own methodology, its own update cycle, its own quirks. The seams end up in your numbers.

Here it is one API with one methodology across all 553 pairs. A tokenized treasury is computed the same way as ETH/USD. Each response carries the rate plus the depth, liquidity, volume and venue breakdown behind it, from the same block. Integrate once, cover the whole book.

01

Start a trial

A 14-day trial with one API key, no card needed. Point it at the pairs you care about. The catalog covers 553 pairs; if an asset trades in on-chain pools, we can usually add it.

02

Pick a plan

Plans scale by volume, history, depth history plus streaming, all on the same methodology. Committed volume or a redistribution licence runs through an Enterprise agreement with our team.

03

Consume over the API

Pull prices through the API, scoped to the pairs you asked for. One methodology across the full catalog, one integration.

Built for teams where the price is load-bearing

DeFi protocols

Lending markets, perpetuals, stablecoin issuers: price the collateral you actually list, including the LSTs plus yield-bearing assets where feed-grade rates are scarce.

Risk & analytics teams

Depeg monitoring, liquidation modeling, portfolio marks. Market-rate prices from the pools where these assets trade, built for decisions rather than display.

Asset managers

On-chain funds plus structured products need defensible marks for the long tail. A documented methodology gives every mark a trace an auditor can follow.

Exchanges & platforms

Reference pricing for listings, settlement inputs, display prices. Where procurement requires ISO/IEC 27001: ML Data is operated by Matrixedlabs Technologies - FZCO, whose information security management system is certified to ISO/IEC 27001:2022; the certificate details are on the trust page.

Crypto price API: common questions

What makes this different from a free crypto price API?
The market being measured. A free API reports exchange listings, which serves a portfolio tracker well. DEX-native assets are a different problem: most LSTs, yield-bearing stablecoins plus RWA tokens barely trade on centralized venues, so their real price only exists in pools. That pool-derived number is the one a liquidation engine or risk system can act on.
Which chains does the API read from?
Pools are currently observed across 17 chains: Ethereum, Base, Arbitrum, Optimism, Solana plus newer chains such as Katana. Coverage follows liquidity: when an asset's market develops on a new chain, the feed follows it there.
Is there a free tier?
Not a permanent one. Every plan starts from a 14-day trial with no card needed, so you can see the data working for your use case before you commit to anything. The plans are on the pricing page.
Can you add a pair that is not in the catalog?
Yes, continuously: the catalog grows as on-chain markets develop, so coverage requests are a normal part of onboarding. An asset with active pools at real depth can be evaluated for the same methodology as the rest of the catalog.
How are the prices computed?
Pool selection per pair, weighting by usable depth rather than listed size, outlier filtering before publication, every response pinned to a block. The full methodology is documented on the data feeds page and available for client review.
