tBTC/USD price feed
tBTC is bitcoin carried onto Ethereum by threshold cryptography: a token redeemable for native BTC without any single custodian in the loop. Its market has a habit of pairing it against other forms of bitcoin, with the dollar rate resolved through whichever legs the book holds.

Bitcoin with no custodian attached
Every version of bitcoin on Ethereum answers the same question differently: who holds the real coins? For most wrappers the answer is a company or a consortium. For tBTC it is a rotating group of independent signers coordinated by threshold cryptography, so that no single party can move, freeze or lose the backing alone. Minting plus redemption run permissionlessly, in both directions, back to native BTC.
That construction is the reason tBTC exists at a few thousand coins of supply rather than millions: it trades convenience for a different trust model, on purpose. The holders who choose it tend to be the ones for whom the custody question is the entire point.
None of that changes what a feed has to do. Whatever one thinks of any bridge design, the token's dollar value is set in its pools; this page reports what those pools pay.
A market where bitcoin cancels out
tBTC's pools have overwhelmingly paired it against other wrappers such as WBTC plus cbBTC. In a pool like that, bitcoin sits on both sides: the price of bitcoin itself cancels out of the pair, so what the market prices is the relative standing of two bridges carrying the same asset.
That ratio is the working number. The dollar rate above is that ratio expressed through the wrapper complex's own dollar markets, where bitcoin's price re-enters the picture; the aggregate story of how bitcoin trades on-chain lives on the BTC/USD page of this catalog. Here, the number worth watching is the spread around one.
More than one venue family has carried the book, from concentrated Uniswap positions to large Curve pools, with satellites beyond Ethereum. Different pool designs respond differently to the same flow, which is why reading them together is worth more than reading any alone.
A book built for holding
The shape of tBTC's liquidity says what the token is for. Its book has held depth near the mid comparable to an entire week of trading volume: a market where positions are parked as collateral rather than churned, spread over pools on several chains.
A ratio between two forms of the same asset is supposed to hold still; for long stretches it does exactly that. The feed's job is the other stretch: continuous, block-pinned readings so that any drift between bridges shows up in the number the moment the pools start paying it, not after someone notices.
That is what a dollar rate for tBTC is underneath: bitcoin's price, times a bridge ratio that deserves watching precisely because it almost never moves.
Who runs on this rate
BTC-collateral lending books
tBTC is accepted as bitcoin collateral in on-chain credit markets; liquidation logic needs the traded rate for this wrapper specifically, not bitcoin's in general.
On-chain treasuries
Treasuries holding bitcoin exposure through tBTC report in dollars; a rate computed from tBTC's own pools makes the mark specific to the token held.
Bridge plus cross-chain integrations
Systems moving BTC into DeFi settle against tBTC's own market rate, where bridge standing is already priced in.
