stETH Price Feed: The Market Rate for Lido Staked ETH
stETH has spent its whole life trading against ETH rather than against dollars. This feed prices that market in whatever shape it takes, then resolves the dollars through ETH's own on-chain price: 5 active pools, depth-filtered.

stETH's dollar rate is a two-step measurement.
Historically, stETH liquidity has sat overwhelmingly in ETH-quoted pools, while direct dollar venues have stayed comparatively thin. The methodology takes the book as it finds it: it prices stETH in the pairs where depth genuinely lives, whatever that shape is in a given week. As long as that depth quotes in ETH, an honest stETH/USD number is a two-step measurement: what the pools say stETH is worth in ETH, resolved through what the market says ETH is worth in dollars.
This feed makes both steps explicit. The stETH leg is measured across 5 active pools, weighted by real liquidity. The ETH leg uses the same methodology applied to ETH itself, one of the deepest on-chain markets in the catalog. Both legs come from the same block, so the published rate never mixes two moments in time.
The alternative found in most tickers is to average whatever stETH listings exist across venues, however thin. That reads fine until the ratio moves. When stETH slipped from parity in June 2022, the pools repriced first; anyone valuing collateral off lagging listings was weeks behind the market that actually settles liquidations.
What stands behind the rate
Composition as observed on 2026-10-27: 5 active pools carry the published rate. Selection is a standing filter rather than a fixed list: a pool that lists meaningful total value but offers only a sliver of usable depth near the mid price is excluded by the depth floor, however large its headline number.
When the book concentrates in a few deep venues, that concentration is a property of the stETH market itself. The feed reports the market as it is rather than manufacturing diversity that does not exist on-chain.
The staked-ETH family in the catalog
The ETH LST section runs deep: dozens of pairs across the staking family, each with its own feed. Closest to this one:
